The tunes O Filii et Filiae and Noël Nouvelet survive from 15th century France, and are recognized today as the popular Easter hymns O Sons and Daughters and Now the Green Blade Riseth from the Buried Grain.

Solo and tutti sections. May also be played with one player per part, although you will lose some of the dynamic contrasts.
I weave together O Filii et Filiae (in triple meter) with Noël Nouvelet (in duple meter) by changing the subdivision within each pulse, and by modifying the melodic rhythm of one tune to match the other. Each part has some melodic material. Sections range from tutti, high recorders, mid-range recorders, low recorders, to a couple of solo lines.
